46.4 Morne Morkel to Nathan Lyon

OUT! Run Out. Morne Morkel to Nathan Lyon. Length ball, outside off stump on the front foot driving, to deep cover for 1 run, fielded by Markram, by de Kock. What a way to finish the match and the series. Lackadaisical running from Lyon and he is caught short of his crease coming back for the second. The whole crowd wanted Morne Morkel to get the final wicket but it wasn't to be.South Africa comprehensively win the series 3-1 and it is their first home series win against Australia since 1970. A whole team performance with Aiden Markram and Faf du Plessis scoring centuries while Vernon Philander was fantastic this morning and ended with nine wickets in the Test.It has been an unforgettable series for all the wrong reasons but on the field it has been hard-fought with both teams playing fantastic cricket. There will need to be plenty of changes before the next Test for Australia, with their coach stepping down, and they will have to go through a re-build process. For South Africa it will be a case of replacing a brilliant player in Morne Morkel as he steps away but he will no doubt cheer his team on from wherever he is.
