Suresh Raina believes that winning the WTC Final will improve his confidence ahead of the ODI World Cup.

Former India batter Suresh Raina believes that winning the World Test Championship in 2023 will be a huge confidence booster for the country.

Raina stated on the sidelines of Legends League Cricket that the WTC Final will benefit India because it will put them in a positive mood for the ODI World Cup, which will be held in the subcontinent in October and November. According to the former player, India will ideally rest several of their top players in the latter stages of the Indian Premier League to keep them fresh for the World Test Championship Final.

"I am very confident that planning is already on about how can we give rest to these players in between IPL and also ensure that they are in prime condition. If we win the WTC final, it will undoubtedly improve morale ahead of the 50-over World Cup later this year," Raina told IANS on the sidelines of the Legends League Cricket.

Several top Indian batters delivered strong performances in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar Trophy, beginning with Rohit Sharma in the first encounter at Nagpur. The former player believes that Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill will be crucial to India's success in the World Tennis Championship Final, which will be held at the Oval on June 7. "Look at Virat Kohli; he just got a hundred. We were discussing turning tracks and how well they can perform on any track. I would say, Virat, Rohit, and Shubman Gill - he just got one chance and he made a hundred," Raina concluded.
