10.5 Shakib Al Hasan to Keemo Paul

Shakib Al Hasan to Keemo Paul. Stock length ball, down leg side on the front foot working, hit pad to short mid wicket for 1 run, fielded by Rahim. West Indies have completely demolished Bangladesh by eight wickets in Sylhet to take a 1-0 lead in the T20I series. The tourists came out all guns blazing in pursuit of a below par total to show why they are the World Champions. Shai Hope smashed his way to a 16-ball fifty, the third fastest in T20I history, as the Bangladesh bowling attack was destroyed to all parts of the ground. Shakib Al Hasan had earlier dragged the hosts up to 129 with his knock of 61, but there was no support at the other end in a frenzied innings. Sheldon Cottrell used the short ball expertly to pick up career best figures of 28-4 before the Windies batsmen completed the job. It was comfortably their largest victory in terms of balls remaining in the second innings and a great way to start the series. Bangladesh will need a much improved performance in the 2nd T20I on Thursday.
