Over 89. no runs. Bowler: Josh Hazlewood. England: 10-180(rr 2.02)
88.1 Josh Hazlewood to James Anderson
OUT! Caught. Josh Hazlewood to James Anderson. Short, down leg side on the back foot defending, outside edge to wicketkeeper, by Paine. First ball after drinks and Hazlewood has finished the job. Anderson doesn't think he's touched this but the umpire does, and that's good enough because England are out of reviews. Australia have crushed England by an innings and 123 runs at the SCG, that seals the series 4-0. The hosts have completely outplayed the tourists with both bat and ball, and fully deserve the glory of lifting the urn. England fought hard today, their captain especially showing admirable desire after spending the morning in hospital. In the end though, they were unable to resist a rampant Aussie attack on a wearing surface. It was always going to be tough for the tourists after making a sub-par total when they had won the toss, and the hosts really made them toil in the heat over the next few days. That's The Ashes done and dusted for another couple of years, and what a series it has been for Australia. Yet another absolute drubbing of England down under, charging to a 4-0 series win in style. Steve Smith lifts the urn as player of the series, and all of Australia celebrate. Next up it's the ODI series starting in just under a week, perhaps England can bounce back with a change in format.
