The Asian Cricket Council finally announced the dates of the women's Asia Cup that will be played in Sri Lanka this year. The tournament will begin 19th of July while the final will be played on the 28th of July. This year's event will see eight teams battle it out for this reputed event. The teams have been divided into two groups with Group A consisting of four teams and Group B consisting of four teams. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals.

India and Pakistan will face each other on the 21st of July as the match will be played in Dambulla. The excitement will reach a new level and the energy levels will be sky-high when these two teams face each other. During the previous edition that was played in Bangladesh in 2022, every team played against every opponent as the tournament witnessed seven teams but in this edition, an eighth team has been added.

So far, India has won the tournament 7 times while Bangladesh has won the tournament once. Sri Lanka made it to the finals five times while Pakistan finished runners-up twice. Apart from these four teams, Malaysia, Thailand, UAE and Nepal will also play in the tournament. India will play UAE while Pakistan will face Nepal on the opening day of the tournament. Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and UAE.

The semi-finals of the tournament will be played on the 26th of July while the final will be played on the 28th of July. The tournament dates are likely to clash with "The Hundred Competition" that will be played in England from the 23rd of July which means India's Richa Ghosh who represents Birmingham Phoenix, Smriti Mandhana who represents Southern Brave and Sri Lankan skipper Chamari Athapaththu who plays for Oval Invincibles will be missing some of the earlier matches.

July 26: Group A1 Vs Group B2 & Group B1 Vs Group A2

July 28: Final
