BAN VS SL T20I: With the help of Nazmul Hussain Shanto's unbeaten half-century, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the second T20 International cricket match played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium here on Wednesday. With this, host Bangladesh leveled the three-match T20 series 1-1.

Chasing Sri Lanka's target of 166 runs, Bangladesh scored 87 runs for the third wicket between Nazmul (53 not out in 38 balls, four fours, two sixes) and Tauheed Hriday (32 not out in 25 balls, two fours, one six). With the unbroken partnership, India won by scoring 170 runs for two wickets with 11 balls remaining.

Earlier, Sri Lanka lost wickets at regular intervals and despite the innings of Kamindu Mendis (37), Kusal Mendis (36) and Angelo Mathews (32), the team could only score 165 runs for five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Captain Charith Asalanka also contributed 28 runs. For Bangladesh, Taskin Ahmed, Mehdi Hasan, Mustafizur Rahman and Soumya Sarkar took one wicket each.

The third and final T20 match between the two teams will be played on the same ground on Saturday.
