Sunil Narine's scintillating 109-run innings against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) not only showcased his batting prowess but also etched his name in the record books.

Narine became the first cricketer to achieve the remarkable milestone of scoring a century and claiming 100 wickets in the T20 tournament.

Narine's century also places him in an exclusive group of players who have achieved a hat-trick and scored a century in the IPL, alongside Rohit Sharma and Shane Watson.

Only Three Players have Record of IPL Hat-trick and Century:

Sunil Narine :
Batting first against Rajasthan Royals, Sunil Narine played uphill right from the start. He also got his first century in T20 career. Played an innings of 109 runs off 56 balls. 13 fours and six sixes in an innings of around 195 strikerates. His brilliant innings of 109 ended with Trent Boult being bowled.

Narine's feat of hat-trick in IPL was 11 years back, in 2013. Narine scored a hat-trick for Kolkata Knight Riders against the then Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). David Hussey, Azhar Mahmood and Gurkeerat Singh Mann were the three consecutive victims of this spinner. In that match Narine took 3 wickets with 33 runs in 4 overs.

Rohit Sharma:
Rohit scored a hat-trick in 2009 while playing for the then Deccan Chargers. He scored this hat trick against his current team Mumbai. Rohit's three victims were Abhishek Nair, Harbhajan Singh and JP Dumini.

Rohit Sharma has scored two centuries in his IPL career. His first hundred came against KKR in IPL 2012, and his second, came 12 years later in 2024, against Chennai Super Kings (CSK). Both of Rohit's centuries has seen him remain unbeaten on the cricket pitch.

Shane Watson:
Watson scored a hat-trick in 2014 while playing for Rajasthan Royals. In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Watson hunted Shikhar Dhawan, Moises Henriques and Karn Sharma.

Shane Watson has the most prolific record off all three entries on this list, with four IPL centuries to his name. He has scored two centuries each for Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings.
