5 Cricketers Retired In 6 Days:

1) Shikhar Dhawan (India)
Team India's opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan said goodbye to international cricket. Dhawan will be seen playing in the Legends Cricket League. He was away from Team India for some time.

After retiring, he said that it is not that this is a difficult decision for me. I am not even emotional. I don't feel like crying and I don't even want to. But it is gratitude and love. I am very happy that I have spent most of my life playing cricket. And I think I have now reached a point where I want to step away from both international and domestic matches and rest.

Dhawan played his last international match on 10 December 2022 against Bangladesh. He played 167 ODIs, 68 T20 and 34 Test matches. During this period, Dhawan scored 6782, 1759 and 2315 runs respectively. He has 7 centuries to his name in Test whereas in ODI he has played a total of 17 century innings. Dhawan has scored 11 half centuries in T20.

2) Dawid Malan (England)
England's explosive batsman Dawid Malan said goodbye to international cricket after being ignored by the team. Apart from Jos Buttler, 37-year-old Malan was the second England player to score a century in all three formats. He has been number one in T20 rankings. He was also not selected for the upcoming series against Australia. For this reason he decided to retire.

Dawid Malan played 22 Tests, 30 ODIs and 62 T20 Internationals for England. He scored 1,074 runs in Tests at an average of 27.53. In ODI he scored 1,450 runs at an average of 55.76 while in T-20 he has 1,892 runs in his name. Malan scored 1 century each in Test and T-20 and six centuries in ODI.

3) Will Pucovaski (Australia)
Australia's talented cricketer Will Pucovaski also announced his retirement. It was not easy for Pucovski to leave cricket at the age of 26. He retired from cricket after repeated incidents of head injury and concussion (becoming unconscious due to head injury). Following the suggestion of a special panel of doctors, he decided to retire.

Will Pucovski played the only Test in his career against India in Sydney in 2021 in which he scored 62 runs. In 6 first class matches, he has scored 2350 runs at an average of 45.19, which includes 7 centuries and 9 half-centuries. His best score has been 255 runs unbeaten. Pucovski has 333 runs in his name in 14 List A matches, which includes one century and two half-centuries. He made his Test debut against India in Sydney in 2021 which was a draw. Pucovski, who came in the opening, scored 62 runs in the first innings. He returned to the pavilion after scoring 10 runs in the second innings.

4) Barinder Sran (India)
Left arm fast bowler Barinder Sran has announced his retirement from all formats of cricket. Barinder played 6 ODI and 2 T20 International matches. He said goodbye to cricket on Thursday (29 August). Barinder made his debut in international cricket against Australia in Perth in 2015-16. Then in 2016, he played two T20 International matches for India on the Zimbabwe tour.

Announcing his decision on social media, 31-year-old Barinder said it was the 'right' time to take a breather. He said that I am officially retiring from cricket. After switching from boxing to cricket in 2009, this game gave me countless and incredible experiences. Fast bowling soon became lucky for me. And avenues of representing the prestigious IPL franchise opened up. Even though my international career was short. But I will cherish its memories forever.

5) Shannon Gabriel (West Indies)
West Indies fast bowler Shannon Gabriel announced his retirement from international cricket on 29 August. Gabriel, who started his international career in 2012, played 59 Tests, 25 ODIs and two T20 International matches. He has 202 wickets in his name in international cricket. Gabriel gave information about his retirement on social media.

Shannon Gabriel said, 'For the last 12 years I had dedicated myself to international cricket. During this period, playing cricket at the highest level was the best for me. It gives me immense pleasure to represent West Indies in my favorite sport. But as it is said that everything comes to an end, so today I am also retiring from my career.
