IPL: Cricket Experts Shows Support for MI's Young Pacer Kwena Maphaka after his Nightmare Debut

IPL 2024: 17-year-old South Africa pacer Kwena Maphaka, made his debut for the Mumbai Indians in their historic clash against the Sunrisers Hyderabad yesterday. But his debut turned out to be a Nightmare after 66 runs in his four over spell.

A historic match has been witnessed in IPL. Record, record and record-filled match runs are like video games. Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians put up a total of 523 runs in 40 overs with strom of boundaries.

Maphka gave 66 runs without getting any wicket in 4 overs. Afghanistan's spinner Mujeeb ur Rahman holds the record for most runs by a foreign bowler in IPL history. Mujeeb set this record in a match against Hyderabad for Punjab Kings in 2019.

On the other hand, Maphaka broke Ashish Nehra's record for scoring the most runs on his IPL debut.

"Tough beginnings for Kwena Maphaka last night. Remember he is 17yrs old. With the right people around him, this experience, taken in the right way, should make him stronger" Ian Bishop posted on his 'X' handle.
