The India National Cricket Team players are all set to assemble in Delhi on June 5 for the upcoming 5-match T20 International (T20I) series against the Temba Bavuma-led South Africa National Cricket Team.

KL Rahul has been appointed as the captain for the home T20I series against South Africa and Rishabh Pant will be serving as his deputy. This is due to the absence of senior players, who have been rested for the South Africa T20Is, and they will directly travel to England for the white-ball and red-ball tour.

Meanwhile, a Delhi District Cricket Association (DDCA) official has confirmed that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has informed the Indian team to arrive in Delhi on June 5 for the South Africa T20Is, as per a report in Cricbuzz. It was also reported that the messages were sent by the BCCI to the selected players on Monday (May 30).

South Africa National Cricket Team, on the other hand, are set to reach Delhi on June 2 for the five-match T20I series against India.

India will play the 5th and last Test match of the series against England in England, which was cancelled last year due to the Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian camp.

The 5th rescheduled Test match will be played at the Edgbaston, Birmingham from Friday, July 1. Also, India will be playing the T20I and ODI series on the same tour.

The Rohit Sharma and Co. will reportedly leave for England on June 16 and players like Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer, who have been selected for both the South Africa series and the England series, will leave for England on June 19 after the conclusion of the T20I series.
