Yograj Singh Targeted Mahendra Singh Dhoni to End His Son Yuvraj Singh's Career, Said Will Never Forgive Dhoni

Yuvraj Singh's Father Yograj on MS Dhoni: Yograj Singh, father of former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh, has lashed out at MS Dhoni once again. Yograj, who has himself played for India having made 7 appearances in the past at the highest level, keeps criticising former India captain Dhoni on the public platform, accusing him of destroying his son Yuvraj career.

In a recent interview on the Zee Switch YouTube channel, Yograj Singh expressed his strong feelings towards Dhoni, stating: "I won't forgive MS Dhoni. He should look at his face in the mirror. He is a very big cricketer, but what he has done against my son, everything is coming out now; it can never be forgiven in life. I have never done two things in life - first, I have never forgiven anybody who has done wrong for me, and second, I have never hugged them in my life, be it my family members or my kids. That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more."

Yogaraj alleged that Yuvraj had to quit the game long ago because of Dhoni. The former India cricketer said, “Dhoni ended my son's career. He could have played for another four-five years. I challenge you to say that. Even, Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sahabag also said, there will never be another Yuvraj. Yuvraj should get the Bharat Ratna for fighting cancer and helping India win the World Cup.”

This isn't the first time that Yograj has taken a direct swipe at Dhoni. Earlier this year, the 66-year-old had claimed that CSK lost IPL 2024 because of Dhoni's bad deeds. He also accused Dhoni of being "jealous" of Yuvraj.

Yuvraj's debut in the Indian team preceded Dhoni's. But Dhoni became India's captain within a few years of his debut. Both have played 273 matches together for India. Won T20 World Cup 2007 and ODI World Cup 2011 together. Yuvraj was awarded the best cricketer of the tournament in 2011 World Cup. At that time he was fighting with cancer. But did not let anyone understand. His performance with bat and ball helped India become the world champions.
