International League T20 (ILT20) starting next year in UAE is set to be the second most lucrative tournament after the Indian Premier League (IPL). Being conducted by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB), a team will have an overall salary cap of USD 2.5 million per team.

IlT20 is expected to be the second most expensive league as compared to any other franchise base tournament being played around the world. For instance, the highest-paid player in the IPL gets more than USD 2 million per season. While ILT20 is set to pay USD 450,000 to its highest-paid cricketer per season.

In comparison, the highest-paid cricketer in Pakistan Super League (PSL) can earn up to USD 200,000. Similarly, the best-paid player in the Hundred gets USD 164,000, while the most expensive foreign player in the Big Bash League gets USD 238,000 per season.
