The ODI series between England and Ireland will start today

The first match of the three-match ODI series between England and Ireland will be played today. No members of the Test team have been included in the England team for this series.

The Test series between England and the West Indies has ended. England have won that Test series by 2–1. Due to the spread of Corona virus, cricket of any kind was not played for a long time. International cricket has returned with this Test series.  After this Test series, the England team now has to play a series of three ODIs with their neighbor Ireland.

Like the test series, the one-day series will also be played in a bio-safe environment in an empty stadium without spectators. This series is part of the ICC World Cup Super League. Based on this league, the teams of the World Cup to be held in 2023 will be selected. Therefore, looking at the future, this series is very important for both teams. The first match of this series will be played on 30th July i.e. today.

The first ODI between England and Ireland will be played in 'The Rose Bowl, Southampton'. According to Indian time, this match will start at 6:30 pm. The captaincy of England team has been given to Eoin Morgan. For this ODI series, no member of the Test team played in the England against the West Indies has been included. All the players who played the Test series have been given rest.

All the England players playing in this series will come on the field after a long time. If the two teams are compared, then the England team has the upper hand. England have won eight of the ten matches played between the two teams so far. One match has been inconclusive and one match has won by Ireland. Ireland had their first and last win against England in the 2011 World Cup. Andrew Balbirnie has been named as captain for Ireland team. Both teams are as follows;
