Team India's Squad for Women's T20 World Cup 2024: Team India has been announced for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup. The command of the 15-member team is in the hands of Harmanpreet Kaur. Apart from Harmanpreet, Smriti Mandhana is the second experienced player of the team. Shreyanka Patil and wicketkeeper batsman Yastika Bhatia have also got a place in the team, who are yet to recover from their injuries. If both these players are fit by the time the tournament starts, they will remain in the team, otherwise they can be replaced. The selection committee has kept 3 players as reserves.

The responsibility of opening Team India in the Women's T20 World Cup 2024 will be in the hands of Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma. Apart from these, Jemimah Rodriguez, captain Harmanpreet Kaur and experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma will be seen commanding the team in the middle order. Apart from these, one of Yastika Bhatia and D. Hemalatha will also be seen making place in the playing eleven in the middle order.

Richa Ghosh is going to be the first choice wicketkeeper of the team, who has amazing ability to finish the match. Richa is an expert in hitting long shots. While the team's pace attack will be commanded by Renuka Thakur and Pooja Vastrakar, Shreyanka Patil, Asha Shobhana and Radha Yadav will be seen handling the spin department.

Team India's Schedule for Women's T20 World Cup
Women's T20 World Cup 2024 is to be held in UAE on 3 October, in which the Indian team will start its campaign against New Zealand on 4 October. On October 6, it has to face Pakistan in a high-voltage match, which will be its second match in the tournament. The Indian team will face Sri Lanka on 9 October and Australia on 13 October. The semi-final matches of the Women's T20 World Cup will be played on 17 and 18 October. Whereas, the final will be held on 20th October.
