Tamim Iqbal, the opening batsman of Bangladesh, has told that he was feeling ashamed by seeing the Indian skipper, Virat Kohli's training regime. He said that this incident occured two or three years back as he was thinking that why he can't do the same like Kohli as they are of same age.

"I must say this, it is not because I am talking to an Indian commentator, India is our neighbour so whatever things they do, it affects Bangladesh as well. We follow what is happening in India and when India changed its approach towards fitness, it impacted Bangladesh the most," He told in a videocast  to Sanjay Manjrekar which was hosted by ESPNCricinfo.

He also added, "I have no shame in admitting this, when I saw Virat Kohli running around two-three years ago, I was ashamed of myself, I thought this is a guy who is probably my age, but he is training so much and I have not done even half of it. We have a great example in our team as well, Mushfiqur Rahim manages himself well regarding fitness."

In his initial times of international cricket, he noticed Kohli used to be fond of chicken when he got admitted for media attraction several times.

But this 31 years old batsman in 2013 was focused on his diet, training and fitness intentionally.  Now he is more conscious and punctual about his fitness and diet from which he becomes a new different character off and on the field.

Now a days there are going a comparisons between Sachin and Kohli and many of them are waiting to see if the current skipper of India, Virat can break the record of Sachin. Still now Kohli has 70 centuries where Sachin managed 100 centuries in his career across all formats.

Now Kohli is in the top ranking of ICC ODI while in Tests he is ranking second place.
