Samit Dravid in India's Under-19 Squad: Samit, son of former Indian team batsman and former head coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected in the Indian Under-19 team for the series against Australia. Samit has got a place in the team for both ODI and four-day series. Three ODI and two four-day matches will be played in this series. The ODI team will be led by Mohammed Aman, while the captaincy of the four-day matches has been handed over to Soham Patwardhan.

The three-match ODI series will start from September 21, with the next two matches to be played on September 23 and 26. These matches will be held in Puducherry. After this, four-day matches will be held in Chennai on 30 September and 7 October.

Samit Impressed in the Domestic Tournament
Samit is a fast bowling all-rounder and is currently playing for Mysore Warriors in the KSCA Maharaja T20 Trophy. His performance in batting has been disappointing at the moment and he has scored 82 runs in seven innings in which his highest score has been 33 runs. Samit has not bowled in the tournament yet.

However, at the beginning of the year he performed well in the Cooch Behar Trophy and played a key role in Karnataka winning the title for the first time. This 18-year-old player had scored 362 runs in eight matches and played an inning of 98 runs against Jammu. Apart from this, he also performed effectively with the ball and took 16 wickets in eight matches, including two wickets against Mumbai in the final.
