On Friday, January 5, the International Cricket Council (ICC) released the long-awaited schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024. India and Pakistan have been drawn in the same group and will face off in a high-voltage match at New York Stadium on June 9.

India is in Group A, alongside Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and tournament co-host the United States of America. The defending champions, England, and archrivals, Australia, are also in the same group, while the hosts, West Indies, are in Group C with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Uganda, and Papua New Guinea.

The tournament will begin on June 1 with a match between the United States and Canada, followed by the final on June 29 in Barbados. On June 8, Barbados will also host a key match between Australia and England. Aside from Barbados, five sites in the West Indies and three in the United States will stage a total of 55 matches. The semifinal games will be held in Guyana and Trinidad on June 26 and 27, respectively.
