Kohli explained the reason for selecting Mayank Agarwal in the team

Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has revealed the reason behind Mayank Agarwal's selection in the team. Recently, Virat Kohli has revealed this in Mayank Agarwal's show 'Open Nets with Mayank'. In this show, Virat Kohli discussed many different things with Mayank Agarwal. During this interview, Virat Kohli appeared very funny.

When Mayank Agarwal asked him the reason for choosing him in the team for the 2018 Australia tour, Kohli replied, ‘Have you called me to praise you in the show? You will call me here on the show and get my compliments? The biggest thing for me is what is a person's attitude towards sports. For example, when you did the opening, we sent Hanuma Vihari along with you for the opening.’

Kohli further said, 'We saw Vihari how he plays. He comes forward on the ball, he is brave and he has confidence in himself. When the first opportunity came to him, he said that I will do it. It means more to me than anything else. Because I had also opened for India in my first series and I had never done any opening before that. I said yes to the occasions and things happened for my betterment.’

Virat Kohli said, 'Therefore a player who goes into a difficult situation will either come up with his head raised or learn something. I saw you playing in the Royal Challengers Bangalore and I knew that you can play international bowlers. You were doing well in first-class cricket for a long time too. That was the reason behind your selection in the team.’

When Mayank Agarwal asked Virat Kohli about the feeling of winning the 2011 World Cup, Kohli replied, ‘The first feeling was that we could win the World Cup. We all had our emotions focused on Paji (Sachin), because we knew that this was his last chance to win the World Cup. What Sachin Paaji did for this country for so many years, the number of matches he won for India, gives us inspiration. That World Cup was a gift from our side to him. Earlier, he was only giving gifts, but at that time it was like fulfilling the purpose.’
