Ishan Kishan Will Play Domestic Cricket and also to Lead his Team
Ishan Kishan is finally ready to make a comeback in domestic cricket.
Ishan Kishan to Return in Domestic Cricket: This year has not been good so far for the young wicketkeeper-batsman of the Indian cricket team, Ishan Kishan. His decision to take leave from Team India and then not listening to the words of BCCI officials has not proved to be good for him. Due to this, he has been out of Team India for the last 7 months and has become a victim of the strict decisions of the board.
The chances of returning to Team India are becoming increasingly difficult and in such a situation, now Ishan Kishan is finally going to do the work for which he was being asked again and again. Ishaan will play for Jharkhand team in the domestic season starting next month. Not only will he play, but he can also captain the team.
Ishan Kishan to be the Captain of Jharkhand Cricket Team
Cricbuzz report claims that the 26-year-old cricketer had recently contacted the Jharkhand State Cricket Association and made himself available for selection for the upcoming domestic season. Now there has been progress in this matter and Jharkhand Association has also included Ishaan in the pre-season camp.
It has been told in the report that 25 players have been selected for the camp to prepare for the season and Ishaan is also included in it. The special thing is that Ishan Kishan will not only be seen playing for the Jharkhand team, but the selectors of the association are also considering making him the captain. Ishan Kishan has captained the Indian team in Under-19 cricket.
It has been told in the report that not only his well-wishers explained this to Ishan Kishan, but some members of the Senior Selection Committee also talked to him about this. Due to being only 26 years of age, he still has the possibility of returning to international cricket and having a long career, hence he should once again return to domestic cricket so that he can stake his claim to return to Team India again. Ishan had withdrawn his name just before the Test series on South Africa tour in December last year and returned to the country. Since then he is out of the team.
Remember that at the beginning of this year, when Ishaan had asked for a break from Team India, the then coach Rahul Dravid had said that Ishaan Kishan would have to play some kind of cricket to make a comeback. Ranji Trophy season was going on in the month of January. However, Ishan Kishan was not ready to play at that time. Even BCCI Secretary Jai Shah had warned that the players would have to play domestic cricket but even after this Ishan was not ready to play Ranji Trophy for his Jharkhand team.
Instead, he was training with Hardik Pandya at Kiran More's Cricket Academy in Baroda. Due to not listening to the coach and BCCI, the board had dropped him from the central contract. Before this he was in C grade and was getting Rs 1 crore per year.
