IPL Will Be Played Outside India, Sourav Ganguly Indicates

Indian cricket fans are eagerly waiting for the IPL. The IPL has been postponed indefinitely due to Corona outbreak. The BCCI is yet to take a decision regarding the IPL 2020. T20 World Cup is also to be played this year. The ICC has not taken any decision about T20 world cup yet. During a recent interview, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has indicated that this year the IPL will be played outside India.

In the 'Dada Open with Mayank' program, the former Indian captain said, ‘I will wait for the vaccine to come out. Till then we have to be a little more careful. We know what is happening and we do not want to fall ill. Saliva is an issue. Maybe once you get vaccinated, like any other disease, everything will be cured. '

When asked about the condition of corona virus, Ganguly said, ‘I think the next two-three-four months will be a little harder. We just have to bear it and life should become normal by the end of the year or the beginning of next year. '

Ganguly compared this to adjusting the pitch, said, ‘It's like a batting strategy, it doesn't play the same on all pitches. You play differently on slow pitches and when it is flat, your approach is different. Covid-19 is also in the same stage, in the recovery phase. Hopefully by the end of the year we will be all right. '

One thing was clear from Sourav Ganguly's statement that getting IPL played in India is very difficult this year. That is why the chances of getting IPL out of India are very high. The BCCI is considering carrying IPL in Sri Lanka and UAE. Recently, New Zealand has also offered to host the IPL. A decision will be taken soon regarding IPL.
