IPL 2020: IPL gets written approval from the government

The IPL is going to be held in the UAE this year due to the spread of Corona virus. The Cricket Board of India (BCCI) has received written approval from the Central Government for playing and organizing the IPL in UAE. League chairman Brijesh Patel disclosed this. With this approval, it is now confirmed that the IPL is set to be held in the UAE. In the UAE, all the IPL matches will be played at three places. All matches of this tournament, which will run from 19 September to 10 November, will be played in Sharjah, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Last week, the central government gave in-principle approval to the BCCI. League chairman Brijesh Patel has revealed that written approval has been received from the government. When any sports organization of India conducts domestic tournaments abroad, it is necessary to get approval from the Ministry of Home, External Affairs and Sports. It is not possible to conduct any tournament outside the country without taking this approval. On this matter, a BCCI official said, "After getting approval from the government, we had told the Emirates Cricket Board. Now that we have got written approval, the teams will be informed.”

All the teams have been approved by BCCI to leave for UAE after 20 August. All teams will leave for UAE after 20 August. It is reported that Chennai Super Kings will leave for UAE on 22 August. It will be mandatory for all players to undergo RT PCR test 24 hours before leaving for UAE. Only the players who come negative in these tests will be allowed to travel further. If a player is found positive, then he will have to undergo a test again after 14 days in isolation.

After passing all the difficulties, the IPL is going to be held in the UAE. The only major problem of the BCCI at this time is to find a new title sponsor for the IPL. Vivo, the old title sponsor of the IPL, has ended its 440 crore deal with the IPL due to the deteriorating relationship between India and China. Now BCCI is in search of another new title sponsor in place of Vivo. A new title sponsor will be announced soon.
