Hafeez And 5 Other Pakistani Players Found Corona Negative, Will Soon Leave For England

Pakistan team has to play a cricket series in England. On 28 June last month, Pakistan's team reached England. But before 28 June, there was a lot of turmoil in Pakistan cricket. Actually, a corona test was conducted before the Pakistan team left for England. In this corona test, 10 Pakistan players were found to be corona positive. Big players like Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz were also found positive in that test.

After the results of this corona test, there was a lot of stir in the Pakistan cricket camp. It was indeed a matter of concern that so many players were found to be corona positive. The PCB was unable to understand what to do next in this situation. Ultimately, the PCB decided to send the team without these 10 players and then the team left for England without these 10 players.

This dispute did not end here. A new dispute started between Mohammad Hafeez and the PCB. Actually Mohammad Hafeez was not convinced with the corona test conducted by PCB, so Hafeez got his test done on a personal level. Hafeez was found negative in this test. But the real controversy started when Hafeez shared his corona report with people on social media.

Due to Hafeez’s action, people started questioning PCB. The PCB was very angry with Hafeez's actions. PCB expressed its displeasure in its statement. Many former Pakistani cricketers also jumped into this controversy. Eventually, this dispute came to an end. All the 10 players found positive, tested for corona by PCB again, in which 6 cricketers including Hafeez were found negative.

The cricketers found negative include opener Fakhar Zaman, all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez, leg-spinner Shadab Khan, wicket-keeper Mohammad Rizwan, fast bowler Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Hasnain. The PCB has said that arrangements will be made to send these players to England soon. The PCB said in a statement that, "The trial of these players did not come up positive in the test on 26 June, after which they were tested again on 29 June. This time too, their result has come negative.”

Pakistan's team will spend 14 days in isolation in England. The isolation period of players who have reached England has already started. In the month of September, Pakistan's team will play a series of three Test matches and three T20 matches with England.
