A three test match series is to be played between England and the West Indies. England has announced their 13-man squad for the first Test match. England team veterans Moin Ali and Jonny Bairstow have not been given a place in the team. This first test match will be played on 8 July.

In this Test match, Ben Stokes will be the captain for England. England Test captain Joe Root will stay out of this Test match. Joe Root wants to be with his wife at the birth of their second child. That is why Ben Stokes has been made the captain in his place.

Ben Stokes will captain the team for the first time in his cricket career. Ben Stokes has not captained any team in any type of cricket before this. Ben Stokes will become the least experienced captain ever to captain England. Everyone hopes that Ben Stokes will handle the captaincy well.

In this Test match, some new players have also been included in the England team. These players include Dom Bess, Zak Crowley and Dom Sibley. Moeen Ali and Jonny Bairstow have not been able to find a place in the team due to their poor form. England's 13-man squad is as follows;
