Due to the spread of Corona virus, no cricket match has been played in South Africa for a long time. The Cricket Board of South Africa is continuously trying to start cricket back. But this was not possible due to Corona. But now as the things are slowly becoming normal, a special 3T match will be played on July 18 in South Africa.

 

The date for this match was fixed on 27 June. But it was canceled due to health and people safety reasons. Now the date of July 18 has been fixed for this match. This day is very special for South Africa as it is the birthday of the late President Nelson Mandela.

 

Cricket South Africa Chief Executive Jacques Faul said in a statement, ‘There could be no better day than Nelson Mandela Day to have this match, because its main purpose is to collect money to help those who are badly affected by the Corona virus.’

 

This special match will be broadcasted on TV. This 3T match will be played at Centurion. According to the rules, there will be no spectators in the stadium. The rules of this special match will be as follows; there will be three teams of 8-8 players, but the match will be only one. There will be two halves of 18-18 overs in the match. Each team will get 12 overs, which will be divided into 6-6 overs. These 6-6 overs will be bowled by different teams.

 

The captains of the teams will be Quinton De kock, AB de Villiers and Kagiso Rabada. All players will be corona examined before the match. Even after the match is over, the corona test will be done once again. The match will raise funds for the charity. If this match turns out to be successful, then the domestic cricket matches will be started in South Africa soon.
