Wicketkeeper-batsman Yastika Bhatia will also make her debut in the WBBL. She will join the Melbourne Stars team. Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma is also a part of this team. Shikha Pandey, known for her contribution with the bat along with fast bowling, has been selected by Brisbane Heat.

She will be available for the entire season as she is not a part of India's T20 World Cup squad. She joins Jemimah Rodrigues in the Brisbane Heat squad. The WBBL will begin on October 27 in Adelaide with a match between Adelaide Strikers and Brisbane Heat.

Harmanpreet Kaur and Shafali Verma were not bought in the Women's Big Bash League 2024 draft. Harmanpreet has previously played in the Big Bash for Sydney Thunders and Melbourne Renegades. But this time no team showed interest in taking him. This event has surprised the fans. Harmanpreet is the only Indian to become the player of the league in 2021.
