Cricket has been greatly affected due to the spread of Corona virus. This year, IPL has also not been played due to Corona. BCCI's decision regarding IPL is yet to come. Meanwhile, the BCCI has given a decision regarding the Asia Cup. BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has announced that this year's Asia Cup has been canceled.

 

The Asia Cup is played every year. Teams like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka take part in the Asia Cup. This year the Asia Cup was to be played in September. But it has been canceled due to the situation caused by Corona. Corona virus has greatly affected the cricket world.

 

BCCI President Sourav Ganguly said, 'It is difficult to say whether this will be India's first international series or not. We have made our preparations but cannot do anything about the rules of the government. We are not in any hurry. The health of the players is our first priority. We are monitoring the situation every month.’

 

Sourav Ganguly said that, 'The first priority is to organize the Indian Premier League (IPL) in India. I am hopeful that this breathtaking T20 league will be played in 2020, despite the concern related to increasing cases of corona virus. Corona has fewer cases in Sri Lanka. The situation is also under control in Dubai. But it has not been discussed in the board yet.’

 

This time Pakistan was hosting the Asia Cup. The Indian team had already refused to go to Pakistan after which it was decided to play the Asia Cup in the UAE. But now the Asia Cup has been canceled. The cancellation of the Asia Cup has opened the way for the IPL. Now the entire focus of BCCI will be on getting IPL done this year.
