Indian cricket team's talented batsman Ajinkya Rahane is looking forward to his return to the ODI team soon. Rahane says that voice is coming from his conscience that he will be included in the ODI team soon. Ajinkya Rahane has been out of the team from the year 2018. Ajinkya Rahane played the last ODI in the month of February 2018. Ajinkya Rahane is preparing mentally to be included in the team.

Rahane said during an interview with former Indian wicketkeeper Deep Dasgupta on ESPN Cricinfo, 'I am ready to bat at any place in one-day cricket, whether as opener or at number four. My conscience is saying, I want to return to ODI cricket.’

When Deep Dasgupta asked Rahane what order he would like to bat in the ODI team, Rahane replied, 'I have enjoyed starting the innings, but I also have no problem batting at the fourth position. I am comfortable with batting at both the orders.’

Rahane further said, 'After batting at number four for some time it is very difficult to start the innings again as an opener and adjust, this is exactly what I did. It is hard to say which place I like. I can do well in both.'

When Rahane was asked about T20 cricket, he said, 'I don't follow anyone in T20 cricket. I like to play shots from inside to outside. I think if you are sure about your shots, then you should play it. If I am playing in the 18th over, my goal will be to get my strike rate to 150-160.'

Rahane, 32, has played 90 ODIs for India. It will not be easy for Rahane to return to the team after being out for so long. Competition in the Indian cricket team has increased significantly. It will be very difficult for Rahane to make a place in the team. Rahane has not played the T20 International match for a long time as well. The last time he played T20 International match was in 2016.
