77.1 Mitchell Starc to Jonathan Wells

OUT! Caught. Mitchell Starc to Jonathan Wells. Length ball, defending, False Shot to slips, by Smith. What an end to a fantastic game of cricket, with NSW taking home the win here at Hurstville Oval to go top of the table. Mitchell Starc repeats his efforts in the first innings, closing out the WA innings with a hat trick again. This makes him the first Australian to take hat tricks in both innings of a first class match since Tommy Matthews did so at Manchester in 1912 in a test match against South Africa. The Warriors seemed to be cruising before tea and at one stage were 17-09. However they collapsed spectacularly losing 17-0 due to some spectactular bowling from the Australian test attack, surely a warning sign for the upcoming Ashes.
