This pair have broken the record for the highest unbeaten opening stand in a successful Test chase. Australia come out as victors by ten wickets after four and a bit hard-fought days in which nobody really knew who was going to win until the very end.England have a few issues to look at, their lack of potency with the ball on a flat wicket and the batsmen's struggles with the short ball. As well as the way the tail are being blown away so comfortably. The hosts though also have a couple of issues going into the second Test with their number three a problem and the reliance on Steve Smith who was superb once again in this match.All eyes now move to the next Test which is a day/night affair at Adelaide, England will be looking forward to the prospect of the pink ball and the movement which should come with it.
