The Sixers put on a catching masterclass to comfortably beat the Stars by 45 runs. It didn't start well for the Stars with overseas import Winfield-Hill succumbing in the first over, from there, the Sixers just suffocated the life out of the Stars with their class spin bowling, clinical catching and masterful outfielding. Suzie Bates in particular was impossible to surpass at long on all innings. The Player of the Match award goes to Ashleigh Gardner for her all-round performance, taking 4 wickets with the ball and blasting a quickfire 28 off 17 balls to help the Sixers score a winning total.
