After winning the toss and batting first the Sri Lankan side looked all at sea early but through some handy partnerships they got up to a competitive score of 170 before being bowled out. In the chase, the English side were disappointing in the way they played spin throughout the innings, as 9 of the 10 wickets were to spin.
