The Thunder's spinners bowled brilliantly on a slow and low pitch to restrict the Perth Scorchers despite a fantastic counterattacking from Amy Jones. The Scorchers bowlers were not able to apply the same pressure as Chamari Athapaththu, who had earlier bowled a great spell, batted superbly on a challenging pitch. She was well supported by Heather Knight as the two shared an unbeaten 110-run partnership to take the Thunder to a vital win.
