But the Sri Lankan side were patient and sparked a collapse in the last bit of the chase, taking 5/12 over 6 overs to almost steal the game for the visitors. That brings to a close the ODI part of the Tri-Series, with all the teams now going to the Gold Coast on the weekend to kick off the T20 leg of the series.
